  3. To my light in the dark, Galina, Rorik is dead... Rory demanded everyone still in the town meet in the square to watch him and his cohorts feast after his latest victory. As fearful as they all were, they obliged knowing that had they not shown up they were be subject to an even worse fate. The men and I moved up to an old blacksmith’s forge to get a vantage point on the event. The forge was filthy and long abandoned. I could never imagine doing work like that. It’s so hot and the smiths are never treated well. The feast was rather large. You could really tell how starved the townspeople are by the way they reacted to seeing the food on the grand table. Some of them looked as if they hadn’t eaten in weeks. Rory’s men were all gathered around the table laughing and yelling at each other as if they didn’t notice the emaciated people right in front of them. Rorik was seated next to Rory. The younger brother of the tyrant looked much bigger than he used to. His red and gold armor was glistening in the sun. I almost felt a tinge of jealousy considering how old and beaten up my armor is. What happened next.. well... no one could have seen this coming. Rorik took a sip of his wine and immediately collapsed to the floor. By the looks of it he was foaming at the mouth and a deep shade of purple. By the time the healers got there he was long gone. Rory was beside himself screaming and cursing. He took his anger out on the crowd. He started throwing cups and plates at them and even drew his pistol to fire into the group. Most of them didn’t flinch at the pistol. The minute food started hitting the ground they all scrambled to grab what they could before retreating back to their homes. I almost felt sorry for Rorik. He was just a boy, no older than our Barin, and his life was ended because of his brother’s choices. He never appeared like he was that invested in Rory’s mission but they were brothers and Rorik had a duty of loyalty to him. It was a terrible way to go. An arrow was shot from an unknown location and pierced the long table. It seemed like it came from overhead by the walls if I had to guess. There was a note attached and from the looks of It it had the sigil of The Viper on it. I have never seen Rory look as angry as he was at that moment. He didn’t even hesitate to soak it what happened. He grabbed his helm and his sword and marched to the stables to get his horse. We all knew where he was going and we knew we had to follow. Galina.. things are getting worse. This may be my last letter. If you don’t hear from me soon it will mean that we did not succeed in our mission. I love you. Until the next sunrise, Alistair

  10. //ooc the first of many letters between Alistair and his wife, Galina, to give insight on his backstory. This is my first attempt at writing lore for him. Be gentle lol “To my life, my wife, Galina, The war grows longer as the days drag on. There appears to be no end in sight. Rory’s power has only grown stronger since we’ve started. Every attempt we’ve made to subdue him has ended in failure. Time and again, he has escaped our clutches. Morale is at an all-time low. I don’t know what I can do to help anymore… I miss you. I miss Barin. I miss our life. Those warm summer days we would spend running in the fields seem like a distant memory. All I have left to hold on to is the ring you gave me. I don’t even know why you gave it to me. Your father forged that ring out of iron for you. He shaped it like a dragon because he always said you were feisty and fiery like one. I’m grateful that you trust me with this but so worried I may lose it. We’re in Blackguard now, the heart of Rory’s operation. That green armored devil has been held up in his keep for a week. We followed him here after he cut his way through Fossbend. Those poor, poor people. They never stood a chance. Rory’s army tore right into them. They were cut down one by one until no one was left in sight. Rory was particularly ruthless when dealing with these folks. It probably didn’t help how confident they were when he first arrived. They had this soldier, the Rhino, who was impaling Rory’s men one after another as Rory was making his way toward the city. Eventually Rory grew fed up with this man boasting on the battlefield of his triumphs. He met him on the battlefield and cut him down with a single stroke of his sword. I’ve never seen anything like it before. Rory took the Rhino’s head and carried it into the town with him like a trophy as his men slaughtered the people like sheep. That was a hard sight to stomach. We’ve managed to sneak men inside of the Blackguard keep a few times but no one has returned. I fear the worst has happened. I can only hope Rory put them out of their misery quickly. Based on the rumors we’ve been hearing that’s pretty unlikely though. Rory’s been torturing his own townsfolk. He’s trying to weed out the ones who don’t support his cause, at least that’s what his soldiers have said. It’s really more like he’s capturing and killing anyone and everyone. Each day the town grows thinner and thinner. We’re hold up in a barn just on the outer portion of the town. A lot less patrols out here. Most of the folks were either captured or deserted long before we got here. The men think we should just give up. Rory’s fighting multiple enemies and somehow defeating them all. They just don’t think it’s realistic that a small group of insurgents like us would be able to take down a self-proclaimed king. He’s knocked back Snake’s Way, slaughtered Fossbend, and pillaged Wolvsmore. They’re all scrambling to survive. It’s... it’s getting really hard to stay focused on the mission. I hope you’re safe. I hope Barin is ok. I hope you’re as far away as possible from this massacre. I hope this nightmare will end. I hope I will see you soon. I hope. All I can do is hope. You are both my life. I don’t know who I would be without you. I hope to never find out. I love you. Alistair
  11. This is a really interesting idea. I would definitely be on board with being able to play multiple characters, even if it's just one alternate per person. I want to play a villain next season and as fun as it is to mess with people, doing evil stuff is mentally taxing because your goal is to hurt people. It would be really cool to supplement this character with a more light hearted, funny character. I think this idea would lead to more creativity among the community and definitely more expansive rp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I didn't know you could work with the mod in that way. That seems like the best solution to keep everyone happy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Dark fantasy... you should look for the Black Knights Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I meant more of like ignoring the fact that the wall was there and flying over and landing inside the walls. Not so much flying for travel purposes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. What is the purpose of anyone building walls around their bases if people have no problems flying/climbing right over them? If the gates to a community are locked and you don't have permission to be inside the walls you should respect that. There seems to be no consequence to this situation. I feel that if you are trespassing on someone else's land and you get caught, the land owner should have automatic KOS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
