What is Dragon Brand?

Dragon Brand is less of a tribe than it is a certification of trust and ability. The Dragon Brand aims to train and certify travelers to gain certain attributes and skills to become a Dragon Brand Freelancer. That being said, the doors to the Dragon Brand do not open to just anyone! You must be deemed worthy in order to gain access to the tribe.

Dragon Brand provides a hub for like-minded travelers to rest and look for work. It also provides a station in which non Dragon Brand travelers can request services.

What are Freelancers?

Freelancers are simply survivors whom travel the island and complete jobs for other survivors during their travellers. Of course anyone can be a freelancer without being a Dragon Brand, but how can you be sure that they are reliable, trustworthy or even skilled enough to complete the task at hand? You don't! That is why Dragon Brand was formed, to create a strong supply of trusted and able freelancers to assist other survivors when needed.

The story behind the dragon!

This excerpt was taken from the diary of the founder of Dragon Brand, Aventador.

Dragon Brand Colours

Dragon Brand makes use of 3 colours to not only make ourselves stand out and identifiable, but also to represent who we are and what we stand for.

Primary Colours:

Black: Black is a combination of all the colours that represents our total neutrality amongst other tribes. Black does not favour any certain shades of a colour and hence it allows us to visually display our neutral side.

Silver: Silver is a bright and reflective colour the represents two things; the scales of a dragon and the sky. Dragon scales are primarily composed of stone structure and whilst targeted by direct sunlight, they reflect the light and shine like the sun. The sky is a beautiful phenomenon that shines brightly during the day thanks to the sun and at night thanks to the sun's reflection and the stars. The silver light that shines from above is the reason that we use this colour.

Tertiary Colour:

Orange: The orange colouring represents the flames of the dragon. Fire is the dragons strongest weapon and represents the fire that burns in the hearts of our freelancers. We have all suffered and yet we come together to provide a work force.

Any tribe that wishes for our services, whether good or bad, big or small, we will be available. We will always allow for a public forum to be made whether it is for an ally or enemy. You will always have a chance to face the dragon.

Allies: A decision has been made to stay neutral with all tribes.

Neutral: All whom have not proven themselves as enemies

Actually I really do enjoy this group so far. A GREAT TWIST!!!!!!!!!

I was really set on the Howling tribe because of how their tribe story is. But this tribe is more like a Mercenary/Wandering Freelancer group. As I was reading it I envisioned a land where people boasted of deeds and qualifications, a merchant is trying to hire guards who can also help feed the group as needed or use medical skills. I Picture a group of men each boasting about what he can do. In the midst of all this a single man approaches with a bow on his back and a spear in his grip. On his shoulder is a mark, It is the Dragon Brand. A group known all throughout the land where each man is worth many. Each person within their ranks has undergone hellish training to be certified in areas, each certification says they excel in that field. The merchant seeing the Brand chooses him over all the others.

And that is just my imagination working haha Imagine ingame!

That is a perfect vision of what I am trying to create! A tribe that doesn't pin members down but gives them meaning amongst the survivors! you would make a very nice addition if you are interested in joining ;)

In all reality I am currently torn, I mean honestly Dragon brand is more of my play style on what I play as. I am more of a wanderer who trains himself to survive. I learn all I can and what I do not know I either make attempts until I succeed or I observe a group until I deem them trustworthy. Or observe them until I find the one that I seem using the skills I must learn is alone and then approach him 1 on 1 and ask him to teach me. Of course I will never forget his assistance so I would leave gifts for him when I pass his way. I basically play as a Wandering Ranger. I used spears and bows, I travel fast, excel in using nature to my advantage. And I am always on the watch. Plus I never stick to one place, a Wandering Warrior. haha

You can always begin as a Dragon Brand, trained in the art of survival but set free to roam the lands knowing that there will always be a home for you or a place to improve your knowledge! As I said, you will never be tied down! Dragon Born is the title in which you are given before you roam the lands so that other tribes know that you can be trusted and that you are skilled!

I relooked at the post and seen nothing on Dragon born. Could you clarify?

I am extremely interested now!

I am a survival game fanatic haha I own many. In all of them I do not care for the endgame, I just like to test myself. I mostly get rid of whatever I start with and just survive on scratch. I like to Roam the lands and explore areas. I could see a town and if I only have a knife I will sneak in and only kill mobs that I have no other way of going around. I USE PARKOUR ALOT!!!!!! Also I tend to use nature to my advantage, if I see a fissure crack then I will lead a mob to it and cause them to fall into it. If I see a house and it has many zombies around it then I use parkour to enter the house by other means (7 days to die). I don't often use guns because they are loud but I do use silent weaponry alot haha. I learn through trial and error what herbs go with what to make what. It is not often I play a survival game just to beat it, I play it because I appreciate the nature and wildlife they created. I enjoy the post apocalyptic world they made where you can die at any minute. I was a huge fan of The Stomping land. I literally just lived in the forest, I explored that whole island so much that when PVP came to pass I would lure players into the dark caves and place traps for them there. I lived on my stomach crawling around observing players for at times a hour, just trailing them and watching them. I had fun doing that. When it came to raiding I would wait until a group left and sneak in, only taking what I needed. Idk I enjoy these types of games haha

Wow a long text I did not plan, I got really into what I was saying haha.

Whoops, I meant Dragon Brand xD although Dragon Born is an interesting concept! I do indeed like your way of survival! That is what I had planned at first! I didn't want to settle down but explore the world and survive but I thought instead I would create a place that would offer that same opportunity to others!

Very nice, well after honestly talking to you I decided to create a RP lore about my character! haha Thank you for the inspiration. I honestly cannot stop the words from being typed! That is how passionate and into it I have become. But I would like to join your group. But honestly I can not promise that I will always be at or nearby the village at all times!

I am a Wanderer by nature!

I did the same thing! I wrote a bit of lore in my introduction :) That is exactly what you should do! You should travel the Ark and not be pinned down! I would be more than happy to provide you with the appropriate certifications to become a Dragon Brand and then you are free to wander!

Well I just posted the lore about my character, it is a completely different take on how usual RP character lores are. But I am honestly happy with it!!! Tell me if a player like that fits your group.

Added you as a Certified Freelancer, is that the position you wish to hold or would you like another one? :)

For now yes, only because I understand what each position is but I would like more in-depth details on each position before I decide.

Or just making me whatever is basic so we can both learn the game before we even get certified. That way we earned our certifications legit and did not powergame our way into certifications.

That's a good idea, I've been thinking about adding just a Freelancer rank so we can have members join by passing the trials but not being certified yet. What do you think?

I would go for it, because as it is now. The base rank for a new initiate is a Certified freelancer!

How can a newcomer already be certified?

So there needs to be a rank before that in order to get certified haha

That's a good point! Consider it done!
