Hey, thought it'd make sense for me to make this post even though I've been in the Discord channel for a long while.
I've decided to pick up Ark again and come back for the next Volume. I don't know how many people left remember me from back then but I first started when we were playing prior to Volume 1 on the Island, during the 1 year anniversary of the server (the Rhino Race event/etc). I played through that and eventually Volume 1 where I built the massive tavern on Aeternia; The Muddy Spino and streamed every day I was live. I will likely be doing that again for this wipe but I will be pushing myself away from solo play and mega builds this time around since my biggest downfall in Volume 1 was The Muddy Spino itself. The tavern took (I kid you not), over 300 hours of play time to construct, gather all the materials, and paint solo. While it was fun I found I was very rapidly burned out, so I'll likely ton back my huge scale building this time around and stick to a tribe which would allow me to still build to my scale without it being too huge and having more regular use.
I'll be rereading up on the rules, the mods (if any are changing) and what lore I can as I'll likely be bringing Duo from Aeternia back after a long hiatus.
